The battle system is slow and clunky very much similar to FF12 but worse imo.
I watched a friend play all day of that game even the big fights where you actually use the gauntlet and play as the so called "white knight" are slow and basically a strafing and slap match between morons...exceedingly tall morons.

Through the RE Series most of the main games had a Pivot style maneuvering system that was always unique and strange.
A system that made getting out of tough situations not only take focus but also made them more heart pumping.
